Gina Petrie

Gina Petrie is an adult services librarian with Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library. She is a graduate of Davidson College. She received her M.A. in English and her M.S.L.S from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked in both academic and public libraries, primarily in reference and library instruction. Her professional interests include information literacy, library assessment, and digital literacy. In addition to providing reference services and outreach for the University City location, Gina also co-leads two virtual programs: a Social Justice Book Club and a Learning Circle called Reading for Change. She also received a grant from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation to bring Mental Health First Aid training to the area.
