Annie Mapp

Annie Mapp is a Multimedia Producer & Content Creator who leads workshops for citizens and journalists — in English and Spanish. She also uses her background as a television news reporter to lead social media content.

Prior to joining Poynter, Annie served as a Bilingual News Reporter at television stations in Florida, Alabama and South Carolina. She’s covered everything from mass shootings to deadly hurricanes. She attended the University of Mississippi, better known as Ole Miss, where she studied Broadcast Journalism and covered Southeastern Conference sports as a student journalist.

When Annie’s not working at Poynter, she can be heard on radio stations across Florida reporting on traffic and weather conditions in English & Spanish. Her favorite activities include weightlifting and spending time with her dog Benji.
